  • Mid Day dog walking can be scheduled occasionally, weekly or monthly.  
  • Mid Day Dog walks occur between 11 and 3 pm.
  • 2 hour time blocks for you to choose from: 11-1 p and 1-3 pm.
  • Text photo update when we are finished playing with your fur kids.

  • This system is proven fool proof so no visits are ever missed.  Your pet sitter is sent an automatic email every night with next days schedule.  

Pet Sitting Services

Register Online and Meet Our Team.

New Clients will meet your pet sitter in your home before scheduling services.  After an initial meet up you can schedule anytime. Consultations are $25.00.  When you book your pet sitting services with us at the meet and greet, we will credit the $25.00 towards your upcoming pet sitting services.

You are all set to book your pet sitting services anytime, day or night. You can access the login screen right here from our website. Click on the Paw that says “schedule” and your in.  Save your username and password for future bookings.

Confirmations:  Hillsboro Dog Walkers will confirm your reservations within 24 hours of request via email.

Access To Your Home:

Lock Boxes:  You may purchase a lock box online or at your local hardware store. You will have control over the passcode and we will access your home with the key you provide, using your lockbox.

Garage doors or entry doors with key pads can be used but in case of power outages we still request an additional key to be either hidden in a lock box or given to HDW.

Return Key Policy:

If a client wishes to have a key returned after service period, there will be a $15.00 charge for time and mileage.

Cancellations:

  • Vacation Visits – 8 Day notice of cancellation Required for Full Refund.
  • Holidays – 14 Days notice for full refund. (see holiday schedule)
  • Recurring Daily Dog Walking – Same day cancellations will be accommodated and a credit will be issued following month.

Holiday are subject to additional service fees

Cancellations rules are waived in the event of these exceptions: death, illness, acts of nature.

Inclement Weather/Emergency Contact:  Hillsboro Dog Walkers will use our best judgment while caring for clients pet (s) and home at the time of inclement weather.  We will try to carry out client instructions to the best of our ability.  The care we provide our clients pet and its safety is our first concern.  Inclement weather plan (snow storms) will be as follows: 1) Every effort will be made to drive to client home; 2) The service schedule may be changed, interrupted, or altered due to circumstances; 3) If it is not possible to drive safely to client home, client emergency contact will be notified; 4) Client will be notified that the above – mentioned contingency plan has been activated.

Vaccinations:    Hillsboro Dog Walkers requires all pets to be current with rabies vaccine before service begins.  We also require that your pets be on a flea treatment program.  If a Hillsboro Dog Walkers owner or employee is bitten or exposed to any disease or aliment received from a client’s pet, which has not been properly or currently vaccinated, the client will be responsible for all costs and damages that may incur.

Access to Home by Others:  HDW will not accept assignments that require job sharing with clients friends or family during the contract period.  It is important to understand if you allow other persons to enter your home while you have contracted our services and a problem arises, our insurance may not pay out on the claim because there is a question as to who was negligent.  Real life examples of “what can go wrong”.  Friend didn’t show up and cat was accidently locked in a closet for more than 24 hours without food, water and litter box.  Gate was left open and dog escaped, Friend thought someone else was feeding and your pet missed a meal.  Pet was sick and it wasn’t reported to the client.  We are trained pet sitters and follow procedures to ensure the well being of your pets.  We will make sure everyone is accounted for, that they have food, water, doors are locked and we send you updates each day.

Aggressive Pets:  Hillsboro Dog Walkers has the right to refuse animals that appear to be aggressive, and/or could cause harm to Hillsboro Dog Walkers sitters or others.

Will I always have the same pet sitter or dog walker?

During your meet and greet you will meet your first assigned walker or sitter. However, I cannot guarantee that the next time you require services that the same person will be assigned.  We work as a team and we strive to be consistent however, your sitter may not work for us anymore, be sick or already fully booked.  We will assign you another person to care for your pets.  Every employee is equally qualified and will provide the same standard of care you are accustom to.

How do I pay for your services?

We accept cash, check or online.  We will bill one month in advance for monthly dog walking clients. Pet Sitting is paid prior to the first day of services.  50% deposit is required to hold your reservation for new clients. Existing clients (Clients that have used our services in the past.) may pay on the 1st day of services.
